Durango, Colorado

What a nifty place this is. I really like it here. The temperatures are wonderful. It wasn't as cold last night as the night before. Only got down to 37!  The low humidity keeps it not so cold as it would be in the south... 37 at home would be very cold.

I think I'm going to head to Pagosa Springs - it's 60 miles away. Gas here is fairly reasonable as compared to other places. It's $3.77 ... jeeeeeeezus. I can remember when gas went up to 75¢ a gallon.... thought that was highway robbery... hah

This is Pinkerton Hot Springs just coming into Durango... just gorgeous! There is a campground on the other side... a lot of places are still closed but will open soon. I guess this region has winter season then summer season and the spring and fall are just seasons... ?

There are breweries all over this place! Wish I still drank beer. But I just don't enjoy it any longer plus I might end up in outer Mongolia with a bit of alcohol in m'system... I'm looney toon enough without any enhancement.

Really cute place ... I ordered a quesadilla from the little trailer then went inside the brewery place for iced tea! haaa What a crowd in there... and what fun people watching. I really really enjoyed the atmosphere and a very good dinner! This was found after I entered into my iPhone the keyword - Mexican Food --- this was the closest to me at the time and it was quite an endeavor to get to! But what fun getting there....

This is the Animas River that runs all through Durango.... kayakers are everywhere. They turn upside down, y'all... man oh man... I shee boy! none of me.

This is a city park with this gorgeous river along with the visitor information center -- soccer fields .... several games going on with the kids... what fun! lots of cyclists and joggers and walkers. I'm a walker... ;)

AND... dunno why I feel compelled to show m'face but Di, a fellow WGS member has a friend here. I asked her for a haircutter! ... my hair was driving me insane! She gave me one. I went. And... well? I like it... it's just that I'm having to accept the oldness yet again of my wrinkles and such.... but it's me!  I haven't had my hair this short in eons.

The most disturbing part of this ... is I was going to retouch some of the neck wrinkles and other wrinkles... did you know that I couldn't!!!!!! One or two swipes wouldn't work ... so if I got rid of the wrinkles??? then it looked as though I didn't have a neck...

SIGH

So... I'm wrinkled ... get over it...
