I don't think so....

Since I suffer from hoof'n'mouth disease, I felt it my duty to inform management that although I know little about security systems... this one seemed quite fallible. Maryann the Manager (manager for 12 years) said... well? there have been no incidents in the 14 years she's been on duty.

I said... well, then what do I know....

Me and Shadow got a little tight... she doesn't like to be scratched on her tummy - just on the back while she's lying down. Maryann said the return people when they call in for reservations want to know if Shadow is still on the job... she's been used on cards and such... HAhaaaaa...

This was the first morning I felt social. I went into the office/lounge and had coffee and had the most wonderful chat with Maryann and well, Shadow. He liked to interrupt  by walking over both of us .... the owner guy came in and picked her up... he gave her a great big ol rocking hug... said she was a kitten that just wandered in on the property and he took her in!  so cute and Maryann's husband told me about her only liking her back scratched while lying down and proceeded to do such ... cats!

She gave me two TWO places to boondock! I told her about my inability to find a place to stay and what the Visitor Center lady said about no overnight parking. She said well, yeah, she would... but here's two! get down. One is a church right on the river ... she said drive around the back ... I said I'll do it. Also a park on the way down.... outstanding!

I had made my mind up to stay here for another three day thing. I just love it here. But when she told me about these two places! then I can explore and spend a bit of money on tasting the local fare. I do enjoy that. I have been eating what I got at Whole Foods last week. I had also brought my instant ORGANIC oats... from home .... put in fresh blueberries and strawberries and walnuts and raisins... that's what I've been eating since Thursday. Well, oranges and apples and my wonderful cranberry walnut soudough bread I'm glad I also bought.

So, she suggested the Big Horn for breakfast tomorrow... I'll do 'er and then explore and then find these two places. She also said --- after I told her I couldn't make up my mind which direction to go ... to go to Colorado Springs area! I have been there and do think it's beautiful. She told me about Manitoba Springs and so forth. She was really enthusiastic about my going there! ain't that cool?! love it.

Told me the route she took when she went Highways 7 to 36 to 25.... sounds wonderful! I got a plan! HOOrah

Parking in a church yard..... Cool... I just hope that the preacher don't go peek into your window, he he he...

Enjoy your stay in the park.

  2. It sounds like you are having a wonderful time. I'm envious of your ability to boondock without attracting too much attention.

  3. Isn't it great when you make connections like that? Both the person and the cat! What an adventure.

  4. I don't see what could possibly go wrong with that security system.

Annie told me about singing with your neighbors, and I'm still laughing. Perfect.

  6. I'm glad you are there. I'm glad you moved on to such a beautiful place. That kitty is the same color as a kitty that I adopted a few years back...well, actually she adopted me. She was a really neat cat. She adopted us pregnant though & gave us 5 kittens! I still have 3 out of that litter.
