Oreos and cheese car chomping...

Well? the Oreo cookie is 100 years old… AND … what makes this fun?

I just watched a Mo Rocca segment on Sunday Morning telling me all about the Oreo cookie origin and design and such.

When I'm all in a dither about a this or that and my mind is on a long tether flying about somewhere … I can tie a knot with my sense of humor. I was sitting here wrapped in a shawl -- all gloomy and doomy like and here's the Oreo segment. I started the muffled stifled giggle then by george… several laugh out louds.

ahhhhhh… two grown men stating what Oreos mean to them … cracked me up. The CEO? of Oreos… whoever Mo was interviewing said he bit his Oreo… says people who divide them are missing the true taste THEN a survey was done was XX% --- I don't remember the numbers … but men bit their Oreos while women took them apart. Well, now… no one asked me how I ate my Oreos … I do both.

Never have understood these surveys… who do they ask and how many and so forth… anyway… THAT was even funny. I do prefer biting the whole cookie… so does my son. My husband likes to take them apart and lick the cream stuff off and then eat each cookie… drives me insane… he also likes to lick the ice cream spoon .. just sucks on it… ewwww and I tried for years to ignore these two habits but in later years? I turn away or ask him to eat his damn Oreos and ice cream outta my sight.. HAHAHAaaaa… grounds f'divorce!

And, well, who couldn't like an Oreo cookie. They can hang around the house forever and I'm not compelled to eat one … for instance, a brownie doesn't have to do anything but just smell and I'm off to a brownie induced coma.

But, I like 'em. I mean … can you be an American and not like Oreos?

Rush Limbadawful did apologize for his stupidity but then that makes about as much sense as Romney saying he likes cars.

This political race is just ridiculous. embarrassing. The war murmurings in Iran are going to escalate and the tornado devastation is just beginning? I mean it's not even officially tornado season!

So… now I'm watching what comes on after Face the Nation where Newt and Paul were on … good gawd almighty… how in the WORLD do people like this get the nerve to think they speak for … and how I love it when THEY refer to THE AMERICAN PEOPLE … you dipshits don't have a clue what me… an American people … thinks, says, wants, needs…. just unbelievable…

anyway for a dose of more absurdity… I'd rather watch Busytown Mysteries. This episode is called "The Cheese Car Chomp Mystery" … someTHING has taken a bite out of the mouse family's cheese car! The snake with the hat and one shoe? is on the ball, y'all…

Since I can't save the world today… I'll see what happened to the car then put on my DVRd Downton Abbey --- eat lunch and then get on with my rat killing…

clothes are laying all over the floor in my bedroom… the proverbial piles --- keep -- throw away -- maybe --- take --- store.

That's just the beginning…

Oreos take me awaaaaay….

Homer's little wheels are bouncing... he's jumping up and down ready to roll...

  1. Girl, you need to get out on the road! Then the little things won't matter, or at least there will be new little things.

  2. This will drive you buggier. I take them apart, lick off the icing and then discard the cookie. I know--weird. Probably just ought to buy a jar of icing.
Think you so much for stopping by with your words of comfort. It was so thoughtful of you.

  4. When I eat an Oreos which is not very often, if in public, I'll bite into the cookie but if alone I'll pry it apart and scrape the icing with my teeth and then put the cookie back together and eat it.

I hope that you will have a good day sorting your stuff. Hugs. JB

  6. Oh Carolyn, I'm eating some brownie cookies too today. I mean well. They are huge and thick with walnuts inside and I start by only eating a quarter at first, then after a while I can't resist and I eat the other quarter and finally the other half. I need something to go with my cuppa tea. Hugs. JB

  7. Hahaaaa…. I think tea certainly calls for brownies… mine had walnuts in them also. BUT I over cooked them! can't believe I did that. I'm not much of a cook… but I rarely mess up brownies!

    I get distracted easily…. ;)

and, of course, you have to keep the pan even… HAhaaaa.. one quarter at a time…
