Homer!!!

Homer's all serviced and looking swell... drives like a dream ... champing at the bits ~ raring to go.

So ... now it's all over but the putting... putting this there and that here and some over yonder .... making Homer my home. $428! They did the 60,000 maintenance thing and fixed a warranty steering problem! He's reeeeal spiffy now.

The weather along my proposed route will be scattered with storms and showers. I do not want to go up winding windy stormy mountain roads --- so if that's the case I'll keep on going west. Dunno... it's soooo beautiful today.

But I'm emotionally ready ... I keep getting reminded of why I want to STOP THE DRAMA ... Watched The Voice tonight... I really like that show... I remember this song but with my hearing? I didn't know the lyrics.... outstanding!

Mary J. Blige ~ here's part of the lyrics ..... I'm not fond of the video but you all know how to YouTube... but these words are right on..... I'm repeating the old saw... "take what you can and leave the rest" ....

No More Drama
When you let go
Of all the drama in your life
Now you're free from all the pain
Free from all the game
Free from all the stress
So find your happiness
I don't know
Only God knows where the story ends for me
But I know where the story begins
It's up to us to choose
Whether we win or lose
And I choose to win

  1. Right on sister. I'm glad that you finally feel ready to set on your adventure. Love that silly truck without the load, running to freedom. Hahaha.

  3. What's your departure date? Sounds like it's getting closer! I have soooo much to do, yet, I'm dragging my heels. Hate the tedious stuff. Ugh. Today, I'm taking a break from it all though. Cept I still have to put stuff away inside of Ellie. It's a little scary to think I may be leaving in about 20 days! Because I'm not prepared. eeeks
Sounds like you are though :-)

  4. Hi Cyn… my previous post The Mother Road has my 'proposed' route and departure date…. Friday is what I'm aiming for…

Yes… the tedious stuff … drudge stuff… that's where I'm at now… came back over to just goof off in the cyber world a bit… I'm sooooo pathetic … HAaaaa

Got sooo much to do that I get overwhelmed and just want to nap!

20 days? wow…. well? head up from Dallas a bit north and east to Krebs, Oklahoma… It's an Italian village and plan on checking it out… sounds really fun.

  5. No Carolyn, I'm not going away just yet. I was sending you some good travel wishes for your safe travel. I have no plan to go away right now but I'm dead tired. Maybe I should go to bed, hahaha.

I was just pointing out that YOU are going some place now, well in a couple of days anyway.

I'll still be following you except those days when I'm at the Fiber Art Retreat at the resort at the end of the month. I don't have a laptop so I'll be offline for those three days.

Can you believe that I'm still painting today, putting the last coat of paint on my vanity in the bathroom.

I still need another coat on the inside of the 2 doors but that will take me about 5 minutes.

It's overcast today and we are supposed to get snow for today and tomorrow. Sigh... Off to the barn I go... high ho... high ho. Hugs, JB

  6. I'm thinking about hitting Corpus Christi, then onto SA to see my sister, then up to Dallas to see friends, then to Edmond, OK to see another friend...I may get to Pa sometime this year?? actually, I'll need to get to work once I get there or I won't make it back!
Ellie does not want to live in Pa in the snow, nor do I. Friday huh? Wow, that's close. Can't wait to follow you on your blog!
