Ready to sing in the rain ....

“I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake.
The great affair is to move.”
-Robert Luis Stevenson

I stole this from a blog I read ... the Tuckerbag ... she is fascinating. A young just turned 28 year old who has lived in her car while finishing college. amazing.

Another absolutely perfectly gorgeous day. I'm still recuperating from very little sleep for three nights while my little g'baby was here... miss her little smiles and giggles ... but oh, the drama... such a mixed bag. I went to bed last night at the early end of my 'normal' time -- any where from 11 - 1pm ... slept through until 5:30. Feeling pretty good... went into the kitchen and made coffee ... had a couple of cups and looked at the sunshine, the squirrels and birds. We have mourning doves -- so relaxing.

I like to watch CBS' Sunday Morning.... got tooooo sleepy and went BACK to bed! DVRd and haven't watched it yet because when I woke up ... decided to turn to the movie channel to see what's on... and well, Singin in the Rain! I love musicals and this is one of the best!

What a treat.... and as I listened to the words of Singing in the Rain while Gene danced ... I REALLY listened to the words... just stellar... I know we're all familiar with this but the lyrics! ...

I'm singin' in the rain
Just singin' in the rain
What a glorious feelin'
I'm happy again.
I'm laughing at clouds.
So dark up above
The sun's in my heart
And I'm ready for love.

Let the stromy clouds chase.
Everyone from the place
Come on with the rain
I've a smile on my face
I walk down the lane
With a happy refrain
just singin'
singin' in the rain

dancin' in the rain...
I'm happy again...

I'm singin' and dancin' in the rain...

Pretty heavy stuff! - I'm laughing at clouds so dark up above - the sun's in my heart and I'm ready for LIFE

Bring it on... the good, the bad and the ugly... HAhaaaa... I posted that silly donkey picture on Facebook too. Just cracks me up.

Joe will be leaving later this evening to go back to work! He's doing great - we're cool - and I want it to stay that way. He's been less maddening since he knows I'm leaving... Haha... Just nonstop - whatever that computer game is  - he has his headphones on when I'm home... he asked me to tell him if I were going to take a nap and he'd put his headphones back on... said his ears were hurting ... you people read this?

Wants to give his ears a rest from the headphones.

- grown men - I asked him -- this is supposed to be a game of strategy, right? ...

why do you have to have the racket on and why so loud!?
to hear someone coming....
someone coming?
yeah.. they can sneak up on me
sneak up.... then what do you do...
annihilate 'em.
kill them?
Yeah...
Jeeeeeezus.... and you need loud blasting and thunderstorm type noises to do such?!
pained look ... YES... they can sneak up on me if I can't hear 'em... they come from all directions (does a head ducking and turning illustration)

sigh

He's 65 years old... people. Haaa... he and 47 gazillion others play this game via the internet and talk to each other on this microphone... unbelievable...

What do you do when you kill em all? more arrive?
of course.
ah

wonder what the strategy is ... I'm not asking.

Anyway... I'm into sorting into stuff and getting Homer readied ... so much to do since the kids are going to move in here. It's more than just getting Homer ready... I gotta get out of my bedroom so the kids can get their stuff in.

So... on this glorious beautiful day ... I'm... DADBLAST IT...... I just hate it when a neighbor comes by and lets their dog poop in my yard! dammit ... the kids park out front when they come and it's REEEAL easy to step into poop! hate it... there is a law.... seems I just wrote about this... well! I'll probably write about it again...
whoa.... not if I'm gone in Homer! yay /wahaha

I've got to make sure the kids don't do anything weird with my fake plants. Those guys are really expensive! I've got a wall covered in very pretty greenery and one HUGE ficus tree with mirror window pictures... I guess I could take a picture ,,, but my iPhone camera just doesn't do well with inside pictures.

Speaking of ... I want to get the newest upgrade before I leave if I can.

The have to's are getting Homer's license renewed and serviced ... do the taxes and find new places for my bedroom stuff. I'm excited about having the house to myself for at least 48 hours for the first time in TWO WEEKS... I made it! I made it!

~~~~~~It's now almost 11pm and he left and I just spent the evening whooosing .... watched the Oscars... I like Billy Crystal ... g'night ol blog ol buddy ol pal... ;)
  2. I hope so too, Cyn. I know it's been really stressful for you. But at least now you can see the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel!
