She doesn't use her pacifier any longer. This I just gave her because she was fussy and trying to go to sleep... as soon as I plopped it in her mouth? fwoom. gone...

BUT I got a large reprimand by her Mother because she wanted her Paci when she got home last time ... I couldn't lie... I said yes, I gave it to her... just ONCE...

rats... busted

Goodnight my precious little toot. crazy about that kid.

  1. Great fun with the donkey joke.I love the picture.

Sorry that you got busted. I would have given the pacifier too, poor little thing. You're a good grandma.

My house is upside down with the renovators. My stairs are all torn and oh well, it will soon be finished. I'm still waiting for my wall tiles to come in next week so the mess will continue for a while.

Wishing you a great weekend. We're supposed to get snow again. Hugs. JB

  2. glad you liked it, Julia... ;)

bummer on your stairs! can't be good!

whatta day here! The baby started screaming and had a very hot body. I don't take temperatures .. I know when a fever is about and they are good unless accompanied by screaming.... so Yates, Stephanie and Joe are at the semi-emergency room... at Children's Hospital...

Waiting to hear ... she's has chronic ear infections ... little thing - just breaks my heart. they were at work and I tell you! I don't panic too often... but when that precious little thing began screaming and sobbing crying? and hot red cheeks --- her whole body was hot... I got warm water and bathed her a bit ... walked her and sang and massaged her little head and arms until she calmed down... then I fanned her a bit - she fell back asleep.... told Yates about this... he was at work.

She went back to sleep and was fine when she woke up.. then maybe 30 minutes later -- it started again!

Fortunately they were able to leave and took over ... we called her Mother and she talked with her. Chelsea (Mother) said that's how she gets with her ears!

JEEEEZ I hope they don't have to do tubes...!

This is YAtes' birthday and they had big party tonight ....soooo it will be spent at the doctor's! He was so good with her -- Daddeeeeee... sniff... and Stephanie! is just going to be a stellar stepmother.... so soothing and read and talked with her and massaged her as I did until Yates and Chelsea decided it was best to just take her in and be safe... yes

CAn not stand to see her like that.. she is always so running here and there and laughing and giggling and G'maing...

    tears! sigh

I can't go to stuff like this... I couldn't when Yates was little. I'm a basketcase at the doctor's... pitiful

    So... I sit and wait

  3. Carolyn, I'm really sorry about your little baby girl being at the hospital with an earache. I kind of figured that something was up.

I hope that they can give her some relief from pain.
My granddaughter had to have tubes put in her ears when she was little and it wasn't a big deal. The tubes allowed the ear to drain instead of having painful infections. She is 18 now and no earaches.

I'm just the opposite of you when I'm confronted with medical emergency. I keep my cool and was told at the hospital that I would have made a good nurse. Too bad that I didn't study to be a nurse. I would have probably worked in the OR or something.

My stairs are coming along well. What a big job for the poor old guy. He does such a nice job as he so fussy. My bathroom is coming along well too. The tub, the vanity top, the floor tiles are in and we are waiting for the wall tiles to arrive now. I ripped lots of wallpaper the other night till midnight and that's why you thought that I was abandoning you, lol. I still have to rip off the rest but haven't been allowed on the floor till it cures. I even had forgotten that I had worked till midnight.

There is still lots to do on the stairs. I'm glad that it's finally getting done for our safety as we are not getting any younger.

I hope that your family is back from the hospital with your granddaughter. I'll keep her in my prayers if you don't mind. Hugs. I'm off to bed at 11:22PM. Jb
